New Flasher
Now a new flasher is available for flight instruments of series Competino/Compeo-old and C/C + series. This feature works with all mentioned instruments. For update of the firmware the Flasher 1.3 is indeed mandatory!
instruments with latest firmware are only operative with the current Flychart version!
Please check if your present firmware is in conformity to the current Flychart version.
RECOMMENDATION: subsequently toupdate to the current Competino/Compeo-old type firmware, the flight
memory needs to be deleted.
Main Setup Menu > Basic Settings > Del all records (Competino-old)
Main Setup Menu > Basic Settings > Erase all records (Compeo-old)

Release Notes IQBasic GPS V1 3 07 [en] (156.1 kB) IMPORTANT: when updating from Firmware version 1.1xx to 1.3.07, it is mandatory to delete the flight memory after the update: Menu -> flights -> delete. Otherwise there might arise problems upon download of flights with Flychart or any other flight analysis software.nbsp]
NOTE 1: For the instrument settings Flychart version 4.52.46 is required. After a new installation or a reinstallation of Flychart on newer Windows operating systems (Vista, Windows7) it may happen that the flasher does not work correctly anymore. We recommend to uninstall the USB drivers "PL-2303 USB serial" with the control panel and to reinstall the Prolific USB driver from our Web site. Flash 5030 (932.2 kB) This program is used for upload of firmware updates on flight instruments of series 5030.
Flash-Software for IQ series (old)
Flasher 1.5 (308.0 kB) This program is used for upload of firmware updates on flight instruments of series 5020 and 6000 (6015 included).
For correct functioning of the flasher the software application requires the PROLIFIC-USB-driver.
=>to download of Prolific driver.
If the flight analysis software FLYCHART as from version 4.52 has already been installed, then the Prolific-USB driver is already present and there is no need for later installation.
